Client Centric Technical Engineer

Permanent | Auckland

We are seeking applications from intermediate Technical Engineers who are looking for opportunities to lead implementation and deployment projects while managing client service calls on demand.

Our client operates nationwide and specialises in providing clients with a comprehensive package of services including - consulting, architecture and design, implementation and deployment, managed services and support. They currently employ a team of around 50+ engineers servicing clients throughout New Zealand and Australia.

The Client Centric Technical engineer role is a career opportunity for an engineer with 3 to 4 years’ experience. Based in Auckland the role will involve working for a range of clients who operate a wide range of systems.


Consequently the requirements for the role include experience with:

Desktop and phone support (Windows 7, 8, 10, Office 2010, 2013, 2016, Office 365)

Printers setup and support

Server Support and monitoring


Knowledge of technologies the listed below would be advantageous:

• VMware, Hyper-V
• Backup software: Veeam, ShadowProtect
• Citrix

Qualifications/ Certifications:
Degree -  BSc, BEng or Information Technology Degree
Certifications – Ideally at least 1 of the certifications below

Windows Server 2012 Certifications:
• 410: Installing & Configuring Windows Server 2012
• 411: Administering Windows Server 2012
• 412: Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Service

Windows Server 2008 Certifications:
• 646: Windows Server 2008, Server Administrator
• 642: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring
• 640: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring

Citrix Certified:

Personal Attributes
As this is a customer centric role we are seeking applications from engineers who have proven customer facing skills and excellent people skills.
This means also that you will be an effective communicator with an excellent telephone manner and excellent verbal and written English skills.




The ability to get stuff done and to action defined tasks unsupervised is key. This means that you will have a proven track record in managing to agreed deadlines and delivering results. 

The role is technically demanding, requiring someone who is a fast learner and is adept at learning new technologies quickly. 

A New Zealand driving licence is essential.
